Where can I get a pressed wood cover under trunk floor mat for an 00 Civic?
 

Anyone know where i can get the trunk bed thing for a 2000 ek? It's missing and it's just fabric in the back.

thanks but ebay didn't look like they have it, i probably didn't type it in right cause i don't know what it is called, but i'll probably look into going to the junk yard though

Thanks for your help, but those are mats and I was looking for the hard part that goes over the spare tire, the card-boardy/plastic/wood thing.

You could get some thin masonite from a local home improvement store, and use the carpet to make a template.

When I made my cargo cover, I ordered speaker carpet and it was a very nice match. It's cheap and easy to work with too. So if you do have to make your own...

I just got wood paneling and made a cardboard template. My car didn't come with the board either.

plywood: not too thick, but stiff enough to handle any weight in the trunk

Usually when you find them at junkyards they are warped till kingdom come.


Make some new one out of plywood.

Yeah, the OEM ones are made of some cardboardy material. The minute they get wet in the junk yard it's game over.

The exception is the 92-95 VX - it used a plastic material that's stiff and light. I'd search your local home builder shops for something like that.

the oem ones suck too thin i went to home depot and got some plywood and it is so much stronger and just barely thicker i think only 1/4 inch.

I think I'm gonna do this, but to my entire rearend - back seats and hatch (I drive a '95 EH2). As far as I can tell, all I need is a big piece of cardboard for a template, trace it over a piece of thin plywood, measure twice and cut once, then staple stereo carpet to it so it looks good. WOOT.

That's what I'm doing now to my 94 EH2...but I'm not gonna staple stereo carpet to it lol. But that is a good and quick idea for it to look good! Kinda like a ghetto rearseat delete kit lol!!!!

1/4 thick particle board or MDF, find a buddy that will let you use his as template

Maybe 3/8 thick MDF cuz a 1/4 might sink in when he putsstuff on top of it. But yeah, find a buddy and make a template and use a jigsaw to cut it.
Thats what I did, Its actually better than my old oem one I had. It was all twisted and crap.
