H-Motors - Still a reputable engine supplier?

A while back I was involved in a few threads talking about engine suppliers. Many people had great things to say about H-motors online.

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/

I just wanted to see if people still felt they were a reputable shop and would consider using them again if they had an opportunity.

I've used Osaka motors for a number of years and I had an iffy situation with them that was about 95% resolved. I'll use them again if I need to but if H-Motors is still making people happy, I'll buy through them.

Thanks!
Alex

I got my B18C (GSR) swap thru them and I think the over all experience was great. They had everything I needed. Engine was wrapped very well. No complaints. I will be getting my B16 swap thru them also.

Hmotorsonline is a very reputable engine suplier. When my freind bought his motor, it took us quite a while just to get it off the pallet. It was very clean, and ran great.

I dont think hmotors has any unhappy customers, i know of one issue with a tranny, that was resolved the next day with a new tranny being sent out.

Yea, i know how you feel. Now a days, there are so many companies poping up you dont know what the hell to do.
From personal experience stick to the companies that have been around for a little longer. You migh pay more but they have been in the game long enough to know what to do to keep customers happy and coming back for years to come.

I got a d15b vtec from them that had a blown head gasket. I wasn't too thrilled about that... They wanted me to send the motor back so they could look at it, but there was no way I was pulling the motor back out, then putting another one back in. It was January and I didn't have heat in my garage...

Head gasket was an easy fix, but when I called them about it, they talked down to me like I knew nothing about motors... Not a huge fan of H-Motors.

Warning!!!!!!!
About 2 months ago i ordered a gsr motor from them. It arrived at my house about 3 1/2 weeks later. Now here comes the problems. Upon receiving the motor the tps sensor was bad and one other (forget off the top of my head).
About a month later after the motor is dropped in my drive way i go ahead and install it. the motor goes in no problem also put new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, belts, valve gasket, aftermarket clutch and flywheel, oil and oil filter.

But when it came time to start the motor up look what showed up but a nice ROD KNOCK. Called them and they said cant do anything about it your 30 day warranty has expired. **** them i was 2 days out of warranty and pissed away 3200 dollars down the drain for them to say it compression tested good on all cyclinders but in all actuallity 2 out of the 4 were shot. **** them.

Oh yeah, the compression test deal... When I called, they said their test showed 180 in all 4, my test showed 195-190-160-145... Also told me that a comp test can't show a bad head gasket...

seems like the better a company gets the more cocky they get, since they are known as a reputable store now, one or two customers doesn't mean as much any more when you supply 100's possibly 1000's. its crappy but that's the way it works.

Good company. Ordered a b16 from them and when it arived i was shocked at how clean the motor was, it almost looked like new. I didnt change anything on it (besides spark plugs) and put about 30k miles on it before i sold the car and i never had a single problem out of it.

Back in 07 I purchased a b20b from them. Had it delivered to a shop; it took about 4 days cross country. All the guys at the shop were shocked at how clean it was. It went into a DA. No problems at all. No broken sensors and started right up.

I'm ordering a d15b for my current project but won't be using HMO for 2 reasons; the quality(customer service) has seemed to have gone down since I bought my engine and I found a local place that's has great reviews(any problems and they are 25 miles away)

I will say that it runs like a champ since I fixed the head gasket though, lol.
