A gt30r is overkill for a max of 380whp. I just put down 490whp on a 3076r. For your goal go with a gt28

once i decide to build the head i will be lookin for 400+ but thats not til next year....do u guys kno when the 57 or 50 trim start to spool, i mean i have t3t4 57trim on my turbo accord and i hit full boost at like 3500, jus because is a bigger motor tho. i jus want to build my y8 in my 99 ek cuz its alot cheaper and can make good power, but i kno the spool time is gonna take alot longer for a little 1.6 liter

well, if your using a log, it will be very restrictive past 6000 rpms.. you need a mini ram or full ram for the numbers your wanting. The Autoworks spec bullseye should be good for your "built" application.

If you were stock, then a log and a super 60 would be fine.

50trim BW no point in blowing that kind of money on a garrett bb when the 50 will do more than fine

Ya I love my Precision sc34 on my stock d16y8. Im running about 12-13psi right now. Im guessing Im around 250-260whp. Hauls ass! Oh, its the .48 a/r hot side. Spools fast as hell...GOOD TIMES! =)

I have had really good luck with the precision 5857 on sohc setups.
You may say you want 380 whp now, but you will end up wanting 400+

Re: Built D16 turbo size ?

Ditch the log manifold, and pick up a 5857 precision unit. Having very good luck with these units, and they flow nice on built d-series motors.
