2000 crv - rear differential fluid?
Okay the rear diff is starting to make some noise, so I figured it's time to change out the fluid. What kind of fluid can I use?
OEM - lucas - any gear oil at autozone? how many quarts will I need to fill it up? Thanks - Charlie |

Re: 2000 crv - rear differential fluid?
It may be like gear lube, it may be like tranny fluid viscosity, get it from the dealer and some additive also, stabilizer of some sort for older diffs. Inspect for leaks, clean them up and be prepared for a regular inspection and refill if you have a leak.

Re: 2000 crv - rear differential fluid?
use OEM fluids....
itll save you time and hassles in the future! |
Re: 2000 crv - rear differential fluid?
Like everyone else said, OEM fluid for sure, buy 2 quarts it takes just over 1 to drain and fill. You should change it more often than what it sounds like you do, same with valve adjustment. Good luck
