1988 civic dx fuel pump issues
I have a 1988 civic dx 4 door sedan, 1.5L, I recently have been having trouble with the fuel pump? I figured it was bad as I was getting no fuel and the car would'nt start, will run with Gummout!,. I went ahead and replaced it(the fuel pump),... it still does not seem to pump fuel! I checked the old one with 12 volts and it works! Rats! 201$ out the window! The sevice manual says to check the main relay, located under dash, next to the fuse panel. There is a series of connecting terminals together and providing 12 volts to other terminals in a peticular sequence, it check out good, I'm only getting about 6 volts at the fuel pump/sending unit plug (access under rear seat)? Could my ECU be bad? I'm scratching my head on this one. any advise would be greatly apreciated!!
