No Brake Lights

Hey guys my brake lights are not working on my crx. I have checked the switch and its working. Replaced with a working one and no change. However the taillights work with the lights on no problem. However when I hit the brakes the door ajar light comes on. The front body harness is new and the back is the original. It does not look cut. I have the rest I just need to install it. I have a feeling they were not working before I swapped the front body harness. Any ideas or things to check? Trying to get this fixed before I get pulled or worse an accident.

check the plug above the brake pedal and pull your rear lights for and loose/open wires

Did you check the fuse?

yep fuse is good unless its separate from the taillight one/cluster one

if the fuse is good and everything is plugged in. it could either be the switch itself or the wireing.

yeah its down to wiring. Switch got replaced and no change. They worked when I bought then a week later they did not. Going to rewire the car from the dash to the back and forget about it.

Ended up running a new power wire to the switch. Works great now. 10 min job over a couple of hours for the whole harness change.

do you got a diy on how you did this. my brake light fuse keeps blowing out and only the regular lights stay on in the rear. im figuring there is a short somewhere but rather than tear out the engire wiring this seems like a ok fix for now.

Same here, my hatch just had all three brake lights stop working, fuse is fine, brake grommet is new, bulbs look good, only thing I can think is ground in wire somewhere.

White and green wire is power correct? Any hint on size?
