1999 Accord Driver Door Lock
Hi,
I have a 1999 Accord EX 4Cyl, Sedan. It has about 108k miles on it. Since past few days, the driver door lock is not working properly. It does not lock or unlock when I use my remote. Also, it does not lock or unlock when I push that "button" on the door. But all the other 3 doors lock and unlock when I push that button though. Right now the only way I can lock or unlock (the driver door) is by using the actual key, or pressing down or pulling up that stick thing. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks for your responses in advance. |

check your remote battery, check the in-line fuse for your your alarm. it will be on or near the black box under your dash.

Re: 1999 Accord Driver Door Lock
if your remote and master switch operates the other 3 doors, then most likely you have a bad actuator in the dead door. go into the door and unplug it, check for voltage at the leads when the switch is depressed. if you have battery voltage when the switch is depressed, you have a bad actuator. Replace it. I've heard about a lot of these year accords having probs with actuators. May want to go aftermarket.

Thanks sgraham01. It turned out to be the door lock actuator. I am getting it replaced this week once I receive my part.
