2005 Honda Civic Code to reset radio
I have been through the motions to retrieve the 4 digit code from Honda's website by proving ownership with VIN#, Navigation#, Radio# etc and they issued me the 4 digit required to reset the system after a battery disconnect.
So that part is done but I do not know what to do with the numbers given to me. I read other post from different forums that said to 1. turn on ignition switch but not start the engine. 2. turn on the radio and of course you see "COdE" 3. use the manual tuning knob for prompts to enter the codes. Doesn't work. Also read where someone said to disconnect the battery again for 15 minutes and start fresh with codes entry. ????????????????????????? Can anyone enlighten me. |
Re: 2005 Honda Civic Code to reset radio
steps 1 and 2 are right but 3 isn't. at least for my car that's not right. after it says "Code", just hit the corresponding number button on the actuall radio. after you hit all the right button numbers, the radio will beep to let you know you activated the right "code"

Not sure about the regular radio/CD player, on the 6 CD changer you enter the code using the number you use to select the stations/CDs.

Re: 2005 Honda Civic Code to reset radio
Well if you have the code.
1. push the number (it should pop up by the "code") 2. Put in the next corresponding numbers. When i went to honda they said when you lock it up you'll have to wait 15minutes to try again. |
Re: 2005 Honda Civic Code to reset radio
Did you have the Manual for the car? If you do it should be on the first page of the manual. Should say "Radio Code: (4 Digit numbers).
Always have mines handy incase I kill the battery. |
