Accord EX remote won't open trunk
 

The trunk on my 06 Accord Ex will no longer open when using the remote key. The remote works and the trunk sounds like it wants to open, but the cable doesn't seem to move enough to release the trunk. I've also tried applying pressure while holding the button but the trunk won't release. The trunk will open when I use the latch on the driver's side door.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it?

Even though it may sound like its operating, the trunk actuator could be going bad and not getting to the fully open position when you are using the remote, thus causing it not to open.

Any idea how difficult it is to fix and/or replace? How much would a actuator cost?

Shouldn't be too hard. IIRC a couple 10 or 12 mm bolts is what's holding it in there. Not 100% sure what the cost would be. Call your local dealership and see ;)
