Nokia datalogging cable (DKU-5) colours and pinouts for datalogging?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where I can find a guide on setting up a p28 ECU for datalogging using the nokia cable?

Thanks

here is the PGMFI wiki mirror version of how to do it. It looks like there are some pictures attached but just not displayed on the topic.. so check them out.

3 Attachment(s)
Working on this with a MINI USB cable and 4 pin header from Computer power supply. Colors i have are Red, Black, Green, White. I know red is 5V+ and black is GRND of course only problem is GREEN is DATA +/- one of those and WHITE is DATA +/- my questions is which one of those would be RX and which one would be TX? And can you use MINI USB Cable for this?

Here is what i am working with

4 Pin Connect from PC Power Supply
4 Pin Board Jumper
4 Wire usb

Main thing needing to know what wires need to lay out on the plug as well as way wires should be setup when it is plugged in.

Thanks,
Dereck

Unfortunately that won't work. You have no chipset to provide the interface to USB. You'd need an FTDI chip (Or similar) at the very least to be able to establish a USB connection through that cable interface.
