Lug nut size
I did not see this in FAQ.
I've been using 19mm for a long time. With my 09 Odyssey, it's now 22mm. As you know, tools are an investment. Is is 22mm the new 19mm? I think we can almost say 19mm to be the standard as I have used it on many other cars and etc without even giving it a second look. If 22mm is not common, then I may hold of getting a few. |
Re: Lug nut size
Solution: buy a set with both. Not that expensive and you will have either on hand in case you get a new car, have to help a friend out, etc...

In that case then don't buy until you have an actual need for it. You can always carefully use a tire iron/cross if you get into a pinch. If you happen upon a good deal or a garage sale before that happens then you will have saved some cash and fulfilled your tool wants.

Correct, sockets are not that expensive. But I got breaker bars and a torque wrench. And unfortunately, it's 3/8 and not 1/2.

Doesn't your torque wrench use sockets?
I think I was just surprised to see Ody at 22mm. I thought I had "everything" when I went to rotate the tires. That was not the case. |

My torque wrench is 3/8. The break bars are 1/2. Yes, I can buy two sockets ($20) = /thread.
I'm surprised they would change the size of the lug nut heads, though. Are the lugs the same diameter? |
