ABS light stays on
I have a 1996 Honda Accord EX Coupe. For the past year my ABS light has been coming on. It doesn't come on every single time I drive the car, but at least half the time. I orginally took it to the dealer who told me I would have to have the abs module replaced...too expensive for me.
I need to get it inspected and I don't know if it will pass inspection or not with the light on. Is there anyway I can pull a fuse or something to disable it? I can change my oil, plugs, filters, etc., but other than that I am at the mercy of a mechanic. By the way, the car is all original, I have no aftermarket parts nor anything modified on the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin |
Re: ABS light stays on
The only way I could think of is to take apart the dash and pull the light bulb out. Or find out exactly what the sensor does for ther ABS system and see if you can simply trick it.

Re: ABS light stays on
Why not have it looked at at an independent Honda shop and see what they say the issue is. It may be simple. There's a "$3 ABS Fix" thread in the Accord FAQ.

Re: ABS light stays on
May pay for you to look at this thread on another forum and check what ABS code its throwing.
http://hondaswap.com/ecus-electronic...abs-how-61690/ See if you can reset the ABS so it stays off during the inspection |
