02 Sensor help. Bank 2/Sensor 1...Location?

I tried searching HT and Google to no avail. On my 2004 TL I am Getting a p2240 & p154 both are for the Bank2 / Sensor 1 O2 Sensor. Is this the sensor on top the catalytic converter on the firewall side? I want to be sure before ordering a replacement.

Thanks for the help.

Bank 2 is closest to the front bumper. Sensor 1 is before(on top) of the catalytic converter. very easy to get to good luck

Hi, new member here. Found this thread, I have the same issue (same car/year) and found the two primary O2 sensor parts but don't know for sure which one is Bank 2 Sensor 1. I have this link to a diagram, with Front Right in the lower left corner.

Is it part 009 (36531-RCA-A02) or 010 (36531-RDM-A01)?

My guess is 010....

Yeah, kwayracing said "closest to the front bumper" which is kinda hard to judge. Both are pretty much the same. Is it the one sitting higher up, between the engine and the fan shroud? or the one sitting lower, toward the driver's side, low by the A/C fan?

I have the same problem on my 2005 Odyssey . The scanner says:

Read Codes
P2240
$09 Generic
O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open Bank 2 Sensor 1

what does this mean and how to fix it?

You'll need to replace it (or have it replaced). On a TL it's the top of the catalytic converter, the easiest one to see and access. I didn't DIY it so not sure which part number it was from the diagram I linked.

On my Accord, I got to a point where my check engine light stayed on. So I got a used part online and a socket. The worst part about this is the connector!

I spent over an hour trying to get it disconnected last week and ended up with blisters on my fingers.

Tried again last night. Tried pushing on the tabs. Tried pulling up on the tabs. Simply could not get the connection loose so I had to break the connection off of the metal arm so that I could get some leverage and pull the thing apart with some force.

After installing the new sensor I just wired the connection to the metal arm to keep it in place.

What a joke. Been working on cars for 30 years and never seen anything like it.

what?? no. how is it hard to judge which bank is closer to the front bumper, one is close to the front bumper, the other is close to the firewall.

when you pop your hood, look at your engine. see how there are 3 spark plugs in the front and 3 in the back? that is your banks so to speak, if you were to look at your v 6 from the front of the actual engine (your engine sits in the car sideways) each side of the V is a bank

now sensor one will be the one before the cat, and sensor two will be the one after the cat. so you want the o2 sensor that comes off the front bank that is before the cat
