How to install asr subframe brace?

1 Attachment(s)
Just got my asr subframe brace for my 99 ex coupe in the mail today (that means it doesn't have the stock backing plates behind the subframe like the Si does). I went to look for a How-To but the only one I could find was the one on PW:JDM. But it can't be the right one because the subframe brace itself looks different from the pictures. And it doesn't say what to do with the other parts that I got along with the brace.

Here's what I got:
Attachment 470757

I think I have a rough idea on how to install it but I'm still confused as to use what bolts where.

Input?

Google.com would be a nice thing to use as well. This probably has been covered like 8,000 times. :)

The new style brace is different from the one in the instruction manual that was posted. The old style didn't have the L brackets, because the entire thing was cut out of one solid piece of aluminum. I imagine the new style is much cheaper and easier to produce, and would have less waste.

Basically, you use the hex bolts to attach the L-shaped pieces to the back of the brace.

Then, you remove the LCA bolts, line the brace up, and put the LCA bolts back in. Then line up the little backing plates and put the other bolts in. Keep in mind that they're different lengths... that tripped me up at first.

It's actually not a very difficult install, especially if you have an impact driver for the LCA bolts.

Please tell me you have a swaybar for this, and you're not just installing the brace by itself.

This would refer to the 'first' brace (EK-RB-01 for EK), the commonly known model like OP has (EK-RB-02) also features separate L-brackets.

Was this new design announced somewhere? I surely missed it.
