Fog Light Wiring Help. OEM Switch to Aftermarket
I have a 96 honda civic with an aftermarket fog light kit.
My fog light switch recenly went out so i purchased an OEM switch and apparently the OEM switch is quite different from the aftermarket harness. I have read that in order to connect the OEM switch with the after market harness i just need to match up the 2 ground wires, relay wire, and parking light wire. I am almost positive i know which are which on the OEM switch but I have NO IDEA which are which on the aftermarket harness someone PLEASE help!! This is the aftermarket harness: (I need to know which wire is which) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...s/DSC05619.jpg This is the OEM switch. (I am almost positive i know which is which on this one) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...s/DSC05621.jpg |
Re: Fog Light Wiring Help. OEM Switch to Aftermarket
If you already have the OEM fog light plugs behind the bumper, why not just wire the the after market lights to the OEM harness. If your worried about the load, just put a relay where the OEM fog would hook up and use the relay to control the aftermarket lights. Then they lights will work as they should, only only when Low beams are.
