Quaife has been around forever and has definitly proven itself.

I use the wavetrac as it was much easier for me to get ahold of and their customer service rocks.

they both work and cost a good bit more than the mfactory one

i have a quaife and love it! I've had it for 4 years. I've broken two final drives and it is still holding up fine! I track my car nearly every weekend, also on 24.5 in slicks.

I have used a Quaife and after 5 years, I broke it. Shipped it back, they fixed it and it works like new. The MFactory unit looks like a nice one from what I have seen. I would like to check it out in more detail.

It doesn't have a written lifetime warranty, but Stephen definitely takes care of anything, should an issue arise. Helical LSD, built to proper specs with the best materials...shouldn't have any issues :)

So from what i can see most of u guys are using Quaife ... yes its a good Diff and proved it self ... but anybody is using the Wavetrac diff ?

We have a wavetrac diff in a 800+ hp K-series drag car, running 9.60's - 9.70's right now, no problems at all..

MFactory, Quaife, Wavetrac - They are all Helical LSD's* build to precise specifications with the best materials. All of them will handle whatever you put at it, whether 100whp or 800whp, and all of them have been proven that they can do just that. If any problems do arise, I'm sure all three manufacturers will sort it out.

The only thing you need to concern yourself about when choosing one of the three is price. It's as simple as that.

* The Wavetrac is a hybrid, but that is irrelevant in this circumstance

I know this is a Wavetrac lsd VS Quaife lsd thread, but I run the MFactory diff and have well over 40 passes on it at over 900hp :thumbup:

I would go with the Mfactory Unit, just as good, but cheaper.

I wouldn't only concern myself with price these days, (the wavetrac and mfactory are similiarly priced) as I try to buy as many parts as I can that are made in the US. Lucky for me, the Wavetrac is not only designed in the US, it is made here as well. I'm not saying that everything else is junk, as it obviously isn't..
