HELP !! -TCC Solenoid Failed
2003 Acura CL type S 161K miles Auto
cel - P0740 causes can be- -Failed TCC Solenoid (Torque Convertor Control?) -Poor Electrical Connection -Low Fluid When i drive, the car hums. The humming gets louder as the speed increases. It does not get louder with engine speed. Car shifts great and smoothly. When checking fluid, while running, the fluid came shy of the first dot, which i think is very low. My questions are: 1. do you think fluid will fix this issue? 2. What is the TCC, where is it located, how much does it cost, is it easy to install? 3. are these year CL bad for trans? Now to rush the gurus, but this is a car i plan to buy and need to give a yes or no by noon. let me knwo your thoughts. Thanks ahead of time |
Re: HELP !! -TCC Solenoid Failed
top up the fluid with honda/acura atf, clear dtc's and road test
those CL's did have some problems...I thought they were more related to the 2002 and back models, but I have a few customers that have had to replace the transmission in their 03+ cars as well |
Re: HELP !! -TCC Solenoid Failed
time for a new transmission and since you are at 161K miles, chances are you are not going to get help from acura on this one.........
what color is the fluid? |

Re: HELP !! -TCC Solenoid Failed
Where can I find a diagram (picture/manual/etc.) of the location of the TCC Solenoid (transmission that shows its location) on a 2001 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder?
