Acura Integra & 92-95 Civic injectors interchangeable?

I am building a LS/VTEC using a GSR head & bare GSR stock intake. I am trying to utilize parts already in my possession (my build is way over budget!) and my question is can I use a set of 1994 Civic (D16Z6) injectors I already have? I think they are both 245cc? Both are OBD1. Any information would be helpfull. Someone said I needed GSR or Type R injectors for performance reasons. Is there a difference? I have a stock B16 fuel rail and pressure regulator that appear to be usable with the GSR intake also.

Re: Acura Integra & 92-95 Civic injectors interchangeable?

Took the injectors from the D16Z6 intake I had and the bottom seals and they fit. The bottom seals out of the newer B16 intake i had were about 1/2 as thick and set too deep. I knew the D16Z6 fuel rail would not work as the injector spacing is greater on the GSR manifold. So I used the fuel rail from the newer B16 intake, but it set too high with the 3 mounting spacers. I removed the spacers and it seems to fit/work. Question is, what is the purpose of the plastic spacers and am I setting myself up for trouble by mounting the fuel rail without them? I would hate to have high pressure fuel spraying all over my hot freshly rebuilt engine.
