Cost for new windshield?

Has anybody had to get windshield replaced recently mine has a huge spider crack in it that keeps spreading so before its to late I figured I would get it fixed. I want to see the average cost so I will know whats a good deal when I go get it done tomorrow.

We needed the windshield replaced on our '94 Integra a little over a year ago. I called around, auto glass shops as well as dealers and independent mechanics) and got prices anywhere from $140 to $200. We went to the $140 place (it also happened to be the closest to home, an auto glass shop) and it's been fine since then. It's a common replacement and most glass shops should have the part in stock.

An OEM Asahi Glass windshield costs upwards of $400, and I doubt you'll find a place that has one.

Unfortunately almost EVERY sub-$200 windshield I've ever seen looks wavy when seen from a distance. Even my boss's replacement PPG windshield in his BMW looks wavy from a distance. That's part of why I've been hesitant to replace mine, even though it looks like it's been sandblasted ever since before I bought it 8 years ago.
