Itek hid's

i recently bought 9006 itek HID's for my 4dr civic they worked fine for the first week then only one would work we would switch the balast and the oppistie side would work.we took them back recieved brand new balast and the same issued occured. both bulbs work. so then we bought a realy kit thinking my car isnt supplying enough power and still the same issue is occuring. does anyone have any insight on this HID issue please im desperate for a solution

maybe its a factory defect i would most likely go with a name brand or a well known company or even do a retrofit

sounds like you are getting shitty quality hids.

ive been doing this for wayyy too long and seen it all.your car does not require a relay kit either.

the fuses are good checked Them. I had a friend tell me that its possibale its doin this cause my high and low beam run off two different circuits not fuelin the hids with enough power

Its not that. I ran HID's fine from Umnitza on my car just fine before I went for my retrofits. Its the kit. Get a quality kit or do a retrofit.

Re: Itek hid's

H.I.D kits use less power to run the ballasts/igniters compared to standard holagen light bulbs.

If its not the ballasts, will a standard bulb work when you plug it in to that socket? you test for power at that plug?

Them ES2/EM2s are really tricky with HIDs, what I did in my mother's ES2, was use the relay kit, wiring the trigger to the positive pole of the headlight relay within the OEM fuse/relay box, then just attach the relay kit to the battery and ground.

Otherwise, I couldn't get it to work and this was on many many different 7th gens. My method worked on every 7th gen I've installed on, and that's 5 out of 5.

Others will say the kit is 'subpar', or the car's wiring is bad, I have narrowed it down to be something to do with the cars electrical system and it not wanting to power the other side due to an imbalance.
