You can use Seafoam instead of that.

Lucas is good.

Honestly, you aren't going to see great results from an additive cleaner. They will all be relatively the same. I would recommend having them laser cleaned by a company like RC Engineering.

Though I realize this may not be practical if it is your daily driver, or your car isn't really modified, but ultimately this is the best method.

honda doesnt like you running any cleaners or doin flushes. if you use the cleaner it'll also clean the tank, lines, and brake down shit in the filter. but remember if you do this think where all that shit is goin to. the filter could possibly get plugged and plug the injectors as well. if you do this you should replace the fuel filter after you run the cleaner

Re: What is a good fuel injector cleaner?

^^^^^^ not always true. some brands(mainly OLD brands) use harsh chemicals that do not like parts like rubber and plastic. which lead to them being eaten away from the chemicals. now the cleaners for the fuel system are safe on any plastic and rubber parts.

Re: What is a good fuel injector cleaner?

I know that getting my fuel injectors taken out and cleaned has to be the best method to go, but fvck. Why cant things be so easy and just drop some cleaner in the bitch?

I dont really have any signs of dirty injectors, I just like to keep the car as maintained as I possibly can without going overboard. It has 96k original and I have dont pretty much all of the normal maintenance to the car. What do shops normally charge to clean injectors? Doesnt seem like it would take very long.

Re: What is a good fuel injector cleaner?

Techron does the job. not much to it. Fuel system cleaners are detergents. You deffinetly don't want be doing it always. I do it every 6k miles! never had any problems, but whenever i do it i also replace the fuel filter!

Re: What is a good fuel injector cleaner?

not many people know about it but I use a kit from ever-wear. It comes as a 3-step kit.

It comes with a fuel tank additive, intake mani cleaner and an injector service. You start with adding the fuel addative int eh fuel tank. Then take the intake mani cleaner and clean you throttle body, intake mani, whatever you gan get to with a bursh. After that is done, hook up your vacuum system (like you would when doing a seafoam treatment) and fire up the car (it will hesitate to fire due to the intake mani cleaner u just used) and run the injector cleaning part through the motor (while you running this cleaner the fuel additive is runnign through the system since you put that in ahead of time)

this system is all I use and it has worked wonders for my car and my buddies' cars.

just google "ever-wear" or "qmi" it is a lakeland, FL based company

I say LUCAS or TECHRON. Seafoam can do a lot of damage, I heard stories about how it mess up the gasket

Re: What is a good fuel injector cleaner?

I have been using Chevron Techron about once a year now for several years. I used STP exactly once during this time, and my PCV valve fouled somewhat. I do not get any fouling with the Techron. Not sure if the fouling definitely correlates, but I am sticking with the Techron.
