1998 accord SRS light reset?!?!

I replaced my ignition switch today on my 1998 accord lx and after putting everything back together again my SRS light came on. I did the old pull out the MEC connector and used a paper clip to reset it but after the second pull out of the clip after the light blinks twice it then holds steady again?!?! I repeated the process a dozen times as in the passed I've had to do it a few times to clear it but on this go around the car just doesn't want to hear it. I'm worried about the issue as now I'm unsure if my airbag will pop in a worst case scenario..thanx in advance fellas..

By the way to all you other 98-02 accord owners this car has a recall issued from honda on the igniton switch so look into it!!

Check the 10A number 2 fuse under the dash.

Other than that check out alldata to see pictures of the connector that needs to be jumped to clear the code.

There are also complete procedures to check the whole SRS system if you can not get the code to clear. Including what connectors to check, and where they are located.

Try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes. There was also a recall on some of the SRS units also. Check into that at the dealer and see if they'll take care of it for you
