89 Honda CRX MAP Sensor...HELP PLEASE!

Alright I'll get straight to the point...

I just installed a TD04H turbo on my Honda CRX which I am only running 3 pounds of boost atm and I have a ECU error code (3) which is the MAP sensor. I'm just wondering, do I have to get a new MAP sensor and if so what should I look for?

Also another question, I have a 93 Honda Civic parts car which had the exact same turbo kit on it, and it has a MAP sensor on the motor...will that MAP sensor work? Or is there a specific one I have to get for a Honda CRX?

One thing with hondas is they were not factory turbo cars. There maps, pcv, ... were not designed for boost. Are you obd 0 or obd1. Also what motor.

Yeah that's right haha, I didn't think it would work. But yeah I have a D16 motor and I believe it is obd0

How many psi are you boosting?
Did you add check valves on the vacuum line going to the map sensor?
Is your ECU chipped with a turbo program?

The stock MAP is -CAPABLE- of reading 9~11psi boost. The problem is that the stock ECU doesn't understand when the MAP sends boost info so it throws a code.
Adding in-line vacuum check valves hides the boost from the MAP and you won't get an ECU light/code. you then need to adjust fuel for the boost by using an FMU.

A chipped ECU with a turbo program on it is far better as it allows the ECU to use the boost information from the MAP sensor and then make fuel adjustments.

No I didn't add a check valve, I'm thinking of ordering one right now. I am only running 4 PSI for now until I do a few extra things. Also, I do not have my ECU chipped. Also, what ratio FMU should I use?
