Do throttle body spacers make a difference?

Im seeing some on the web here that say they raise it 1 inch away.. and have some facy screw grooves that makes the incoming air more dense. Now i know there gonna lie to sell a product but do you think this could make a slight difference? i know something like this isnt power you will feel but im just curious

Don't waste your money.

They are usefull when you want to shift a power curve lower, but an improvement in gross HP figures will not come from this alone.
It (in effect) lengthens the intake track. Taking into account sonic reversion theorys, a longer intake track (as also long(er) header primary tubes) will shift the power curve lower in the rpm range.
