Opinions on Motul 10w40 Syn. Trans fluid for my 06 SI

I changed the trans fluid with the new Honda part number fluid around 22K. Now I have 45K and I'm wanting to change it again. And 3rd and 2nd are still kinda clunky from time to time. I know a lot of people on here have used Royall Purple or Amsoil and liked both. I wanna try Motul.

So I ordered: Motul Gear Ester is a SAE 10W40 Technosynthese gearbox oil. Motyl Gear Ester's Technosynthese gear oil is formulated for smooth shifting characteristics. Each bottle is 1L (1.05 quarts).

I've used the Motul 300v Motor oil before it LOVED it. So I'm hoping for some good results like I had with the motor oil. So I'm curious if anyone on here has used or heard of other poeple using this and their results. I can't see it being a bad product. I guess I'm curious if it's ok to use seeing that we have a LSD. I called Motul and stated what car I had and this is the product they recommended.

Thoughts or concerns??? Thanks for the input.

I thought a Synchromesh type MTF was the best for our cars. Is this the same type of stuff?

I have used Pennzoil Synchromesh , and i think it is the same ones as GM's. They are great trans oil.

Well I got it in over the weekend and WOW! This stuff is amazing. Since I have owned the car it's never felt this good. Even after I put the new Honda part number trans fluid it got a little better but NOTHING like this Motul I used.

When I first got it filled it actually didn't feel better, but after a good 30 miles of so (With some highway driving) it felt great. And it just keeps getting smoother. You guy's know how bad colder morning shifting is. The ole first to second or maybe third. Well it's GONE with this stuff. Soon as you hop in the trans feels smooth. I totally recommend this to you guys!! I'll let you know how things feel in a week or so. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Motul was ok in my car but i found GM Synchromesh Friction Modified to run a lot smoother i started to get hard shifts after 2k or so with the Motul switched back to the GM stuff and have not had any since https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

i also use the GM stuff and it worked great. couldnt find it when i hit 30k so i had to put in amsoil. amsoil stuff is not that great. the new honda fluid still sucks.

Yeah I noticed a little difference when I went to the new Honda Fluid. Haven't tried Amsoil. But this Motul is awesome!

only reason you noticed a difference was because it was new fluid. after about 3 months its back to grinding gears.
