Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (MyHotsh)
Teins are rough
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (Azlazy)
teins aren't too bad. theres worse rides like skunk2.
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (Sir Kyle)
koni/gc's. that lifetime warranty doesn't look too bad either.
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
I don't think I could be happier with my GC/KYB AGX setup (1.5" drop).
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (Kronn 98SH)
1.5" drop is not enough for me im trying to slamm it or at least tuck a lil bit of the tires
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
Great thing about coilovers, you pick your drop.
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (Kronn 98SH)
that is great thats why im trying to upgrade from my sprint lowering springs just wanted to get H-T's opinions
|
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
Haha anything is going to be better than Sprint springs...

exactly. on gc's site they said 3.5'' that's plenty right there. koni can drop it an additional 20/15mm fr/rr |
Koni/GC'S are the best combo u can ever do.
im gettin some Tein basics cuz i've got a killer deal on them |
Re: (ffxbb6)
ffxbb6 hook me up with a deal too. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

i could not be happier with my koni yellows and GC'S and the drop looks nice. great for auto x too.

Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
I run ground controls with custom spring rates + illuminas https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
I'm not on the bandwagon here, but I am honestly pretty happy with my D2s on my 4th gen. IMO they are a good setup for a street car or daily driver: relatively cheap, easy install, light weight, adjustable height, choose your own spring rates, good fitment, etc.
I like the ride quality and the handling very much. If you are building a race car then of course there are better options, but for a daily they fit the bill just right. Only downside I've seen so far is after about 4 years they do leak a bit of oil. Not enough to really worry about and the performance hasn't changed at all, but there is a thin film on the outside of the shock from time to time. |
Re: 97-01 Prelude full coilovers (wle05)
The Koni Yellows and Ground Control coilover kit are pretty freakin swell (my setup). The only other route I'd go is Tein FLEX.

</TD></TR></TABLE> x2 This is what I use for daily driving and autox and it's a great ride. Make sure when you do get your setup to get some stiff springs if your going to dump it otherwise you might bottom out a lot. |
You can't go wrong with GC/Koni. I myself have a set of Super Streets because I got a nice deal on them.

Re: (ricoMugenlude97)
so will GC/Koni dump the car? I at least want to tuck the tire. someone with that setup let me know thanks
