Are we absolutely sure on the torque specs for the rocker arm assembly given in the FAQ section? I'm working on my sisters' '91 EXR, replacing the spark plug tube o-rings on the bottom of the rockers, and don't have access to a manual. The first bolt I tightened was a 12mm. I attempted to torque it to 16 ft. pounds and the bolt snapped down at the half way point. GOOD TIMES! Also, the F22A6, the motor she has, is a three valve set up. Do the same specs apply to it? Thanx much

Sounds like the correct torque to me. Maybe it was just a flawed bolt?

Yeah, I am. But all the rest seemed the same as well. All the bolts seemed to "feel" like they were going to snap at that setting. The smaller bolts all seemed fine at the torque setting provided. Oh well, I'll pull the snapped one and try to keep them an eye on them. P.S. I guess that she does have a 4 valve per cylinder setup. The valve cover that stated 16 Valve should have given me an idea. DUHHHH!!

That does seem really high. I wouldn't much tighter then 8-10 ft/lb's. I know the civic only use aroudn 7 ft/lb's. 16 seems really high for me too

Re: ? (Turbowa)
for the F22Bx motors the torque spec shows 16ft/lbs on the 8mm bolts and 9ft/lbs on the 6mm bolts. I don't have the manual on the 90-93 Accords so...
