Radio code input problem

So just got my 06 Honda Civic. Apparently the previous owner or the auction place where it was purchased let the battery die so I must input the radio code. Only problem is the code provided has a seven. And nowhere on the preset buttons is there a seven. Anyone know what I need to do to input a seven for the code. Or is the code provided simply wrong, in which case I would have to go to a dealership to activate the radio.

Thanks for any help provided.

my 07 has the numbers on a sticker on the trunk check to see if yours has it too when fully open look at the bottom of it youll see it next to the VIN sticker if you have it

Yeah I thought the numbers might be wrong. It's too late to look for numbers now, but I guess I'll have to find some stickers in the car somewhere with the code. I looked in the glovebox and the center console and didn't find anything. Maybe they're under the hood or in the trunk.

Hold down the 1 and 6 buttons on the radio and turn it on and it will give you the serial number... im sure if you PM it to someone who works for honda "cough..me..cough" they would be nice enough to get you the radio code. Merry Xmas!
