What does Si stand for?

Im just curious. This may be a stupid question, but I have debated it so much since I bought my first honda 3 years ago. Hopefully this thread wont turn into an argument, but lets see what people come up with. So, what is "Si"?

Awesome, thanks guys. Thats been killing me forever. I read one of the "my car got jacked" threads a few days ago and someone said it stood for "stolen indefinitely", lol so I was just wondering what the real meaning was. thanks

Re: What does Si stand for? (EKstacy)

"Steal It"

The Honda Civic Si is a sport compact / hot hatch version of the compact car Honda Civic built by the Japanese automaker Honda. The Si designation, which stands for "Steal It", was formerly used in both Japan and North America signifying the most powerful Civic available in market. For the Japanese and European markets, however, the Civic Type R has been adopted as the high-performance variant of the Civic, from 1997 (starting with the EK9 hatch) in Japan and from 2001 (starting with the EP3 hatch) in Europe. In Canada the model known as the Si is equivalent to the EX model in the US market.

According to Wiki! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

but seriously, wiki says sequential injection https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
