Re: RSR exhaust (ekslammed)

power gains? what kind of engine u have and any mods ? with simple bolt ons..header..air intake and exhaust.. i would say about 5~7 hp gain and u will experience power loss and torque loss at low rpm

Re: RSR exhaust (crazyguy)

H22a... with crap intake and header... fuel rail... intake mani.... throttle body...

EK_B 11-14-2007 09:55 AM

Very minimal gains.

what kind of cat back are u running now with all those mods u mentioned?
without internal engine upgrade.. fuel rail..intake manifold and TB wont make much performance gain and in fact u will lose low end torque instead

please throw a resonator in there when you buy one. they are loud as expletive. all it is is a muffler.

ummmm thats why i am gettin an exhaust? ha smart one

Re: RSR exhaust (ekslammed)

I would focus more on buying a quality header, and then an inexpensive exhaust setup. Gains from exhausts do not vary as significantly as gains from different headers.

Re: RSR exhaust (Padawan)

i dont really care about the gains, i can get one for 100 bucks, thats why i was asking. I really just wanted a sound clip or a picture of of one on somebodys car... why get a more expense header when i plan on turbo soon?

Because you didn't mention your plans for a turbo.

In that case, you'll need to find a clip from a turbocharged car, because the sound and noise level will be dramatically different on an N/A car.

Re: RSR exhaust (ekslammed)

Make sure is stainless steel. I have an RSR on my 95 eg and was told it's stainless, but it's not. The polished tip may be stainless, but not the rest. Other than that I'm pleased with it. It's nice and quiet with mandrel bends.

Mohsin 11-15-2007 12:31 PM

rsr gt2 here, last 2 and half years and sounds great especially with RMF 4-1 and straight pipe to system.

I'll post a clip on youtube.

Isn't the GT2 really loud?? I like the look of the GT2 and how it is straight pipe all the way straight under the car though.

Mohsin 11-18-2007 08:08 AM

Re: (CapnKrunch)

yeh its loud https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif, but sounds so nice. nice deep tone. Runs straight under the gas tank no bends https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Quality product.

Check out YouTube. Lots of exhaust sound clips there....

Re: RSR exhaust (crazyguy)

Crazyguy, what kind of performance can one expect from a stock JDM B16A with only a Apexi WS2 exhaust. Would the exhaust actually hurt the overall performance? If so, what engine mods would be required to balance this exhaust? Throttle body? intake? header? cams?
