(Leakdown Test) Air coming out adjacent cylinder

I did a leakdown test on my b16a. I put it at tdc and pressurized cyl 1, air came out cyl 2. Then I put cyl 2 at tdc and pressurized, air came from cyl 1. I thought it was a blown HG,so I pulled the head. The motor has arp headstuds and they were tight. The headgasket looks new. Could it be a warped head or something else?
TIA

I have seen heads that have dug out a pit in the head between cyl's.

Lay a straight edge on it and see if it is warped.

I already took it to the machine shop. I am going to have it decked. I just wanted more info to see if it could be something else. The head looked good also. No pits.
Someone here in town said cracked head,or bent valve, but I really don't see how it would do this.

Cracked yes. Valve no.

I guess we will know more in a bit. Huh.

Where could it be cracked to let air go from cyl to cyl? I don't know if I should have it vaccum tested or not? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

It would have to be between combustion chamber to combustion chamber. Sometimes you can see it some not. But it can be repaired.

Take a look at the area that connects between the sleeves in the block. If it was the block it would be a cracked sleeve

Either your head or block are not straight. But to me it sounds like a headgasket problem.

if you having the head decked you may as well finish the bit and resurface the block if u need to 100% sure https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Thanks for the replies. The block is still in the car, I will try to get a straight edge soon. I looked at the head pretty good and didn't see anything, But it doesn't mean it isn't there. The cylinders look great. I thought it was a HG also but the thing is brand new looking.

Ok so they said it was straight and didn't need to be decked. They pressure tested it and vaccum tested it. Both came back with perfect results. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

But I still don't under stand?

Either a warped deck, sunk sleeves, or cracked sleeves, or a bad hg, but u said it looked good

Check the deck on the block.
