need info ABS vs non-ABS wheel hubs & bearings for civic / integra antilock brakes
Trying to get all my ducks in a row here & need help
most common brake swap is integra/civic ex.... a large percentage were originally antilock braking system. there are different part # for front & rear hubs & bearings for the same brakes depending if they are ABS or non ABS. question 1.) are the bearings & therefore the (inside of) the hubs different sizes? I assume there is somesort of magenetic pickup or something in the bearings for ABS system - correct or no? question #2) if they are different sizes & I want new ones (both bearings & hubs) can I just get non-abs bearings with non-abs hubs? if i needed just bearings i would go with abs bearings but the rears are all sold as a hub/bearing assembly |
