alrite i just adjust my plug to .30
what the reason y people set it low for turbo?
do u gain more hp? does it burn better fuel in the high rpm..or what??????
what is it primary purpose...sorry i just started my first turbo project....need a lot to learn...planning to boost 10lb<<<<<what do u guyz recommmend the gap for 10lb...with a gsr t3 t4 turbo??????hit me up with some good info thx

what kind of spark wire ya recommend for turbo...am currently running stock plug...plan of getting nology hot wire.....is that brand good.....let me know..thx

Re: what gap for gsr turbo spark plug? (gsrtpower)

The reason you need a smaller gap is due to the fact that with a turbo, cylinder pressure is increased. It is more difficult for the spark to jump the gap. That is why you use a shorter distance (gap).

Re: what gap for gsr turbo spark plug? (herecomesboost)

well i think its the amount of fuel in the cylinder in a boosted setup makes it harder to spark. a/f ratio is usally lower

-7 at 28-34 is good for your needs.
you sould consider changing to a more race style plug. they seem to work better as well with boosted.
R5672A-7 would be your needs.

i don't think your spark plugs fire when the intake valves are open lol.

Re: (needmypass)

What does that have to do with anything? Air has mass. Compressed air is more dense (more mass per unit volume). Making it more difficult for the spark to jump the gap. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Re: (herecomesboost)

The whole reason the gaps need to be closed up is nopt how much fuel... Its air, the pressure of the charge entering the chamber blows out the spark if the gap is too big, reducing gap reduces resistance, and makes it easier for the spark to jump, and harder for the charge to blow it out.

charge entering the chamber blows out the spark if the gap is too big....... blows it out. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif
