I would think mineral spirits would be your best bet. I dont THINK it would damage the wheel at all. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Had it in the Appearance/Cosmetic Forum...figured that might be a good place to start...but they moved it here.

Guess I'll try the claybar...I think I have some rubbing compound if that doesn't work.

Any other suggestions?

acetone or paint thinner will do the trick. shouldnt do anything to the rims at all i wouldnt think. and it should come right off without exerting much effort at all lol

Yeah those rims are polished aluminum (It looks like anyway), you should be able to use paint thinner no problem... If not, try a razor blade, flat against the rim, should be able to scrape it off but youd have to be careful about dragging it perfectly even along the metal so you dont leave any scrapes.

thinner or clean-ez will work fine

spray some of that aircraft paint thinner and it should start to peel off on its own in 20 mins. get it at autozone or walmart.

You guys are spending too much for any easy fix, just get a bottle of 90% alcohol and it will take it off.
