Re: (miyagi)
i hate you, but you already know that...
so when can i drop off my car? i wish i could do work like that, but i don't know how to weld, or paint.. but i can turn wrenches. so one day, hopefully soon, i'll be able to strip mine down myself, and then i'll have to take it to someone.. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif |
Re: (E-AT_me)
Nice workmanship, I like your attention to detail! Hard to believe some of the rare parts you were able to find, must've taken some time.
|
Man seriously this is like the 4th time I've looked at this thread today. I am still in shock. You basically have a NOS CAR lol. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (86si)
lovely seats... where did you source those from?
wouldn't it have been slightly easier to source a better conditioned chassis from california to give yourself a little head start? Do you have reference for inspection marks? |

Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (86si)
omg those "new" parts must have cost you a fortune!

Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (86si)
couple shots before the resto. all the trim will be black like originally when its finished.
https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c.../080405005.jpg https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...si/mase025.jpg btw it was over 500whp in these pics with a 10pt cage... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif and my wife and son who have put up with me and my cars for years. they love this car too. https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...i/DSC00931.jpg |
Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (86si)
this reminds of that resto in the 2nd gen crx section.
you even sandblasted the chassis??? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif if you dont mind me asking, whos doing that body work? possibly a place you would reccomend? (im looking for a new york body shop that respects imports and does good work) great build man, thanks for sharing. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |

Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (86si)
we're gonna have a diversion going forward... this is really a street rod type resto not OEM stock resortation. niether is better or more important, but we can not rule out the completely stock restoration https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
|
Re: my almost fully restored 86 civic Si (MSchu)
other than the seats the entire car will appear stock. until u get a look under the hood and suspension. i just have to have an engine with power. and what better than an itr internal b18c
