honda accord 2000 car alarm disarm
My car alarm sounds at all times of the day for no reason. the only way I can turn it off is by putting the key in the ignition to turn the car on or I just let it go until it stops by itself. The alarm also almost always sounds after I have unlocked and entered the car just before I start the car. My remote does not work to shut the alarm off, yet I can still use it to open the trunk.
Has anyone else had this problem? And how can it be fixed? How can I temproraily disarm the alarm that came with the car when I bought it in 2000? thanks for any help on this... |

Sometimes those alarms malfunction, you have to reset it by disconnecting the battery, but i'm not to familiar with stock alarms.

or. you can put your key into the drivers side lock and turn it left then right and it should reset and turn off.

Re: honda accord 2000 car alarm disarm (rossodsm)
I disconnected the battery and , yes, that worked great. the alarm doesnt go off anymore at strange times for no reason!
Thanks so much. I seem to have isolated the problem also. It seems as though there is something wrong with the sensors/wiring to the alarm from the car seat, when i sit or press on the car seat this activates the alarm when it shouldnt be activated. Will have to look into the exact problem. But for now I am grateful that the alarm doesnt go off while sitting in the drive for no reason. thanks again |
