how can it kick crome ass if crome is free
|
Re: eCtune, new tuning software, looks awesome, apparently will kick Crome's ass (komat)
Free Crome has no data logging etc https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif So really Crome is $150.Still a good deal. That system looks intresting https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Not everyone uses data logging. So for those that don't use it, crome is free.

thats funny. but like said. data log isnt for the masses. he hee spit out my soda as i was thinking the same thing he hee. |
only $100, and if its good then its a bargain. just because crome is free that doesnt mean its great. i think judgements should be made after its been used and tested.
hope someone posts some good info, so we can actual see how it is |
Re: (2redstars)
looks good, boost control and shit, but lets see how it performs.
|
looks like s300.
|
sound good. For the price it seems like a better option then the hondata s300. but the only problem is finding someone that knows how to tune it.
|
crome has been around and developed for quite a while. what does ectune have that makes it kicks cromes ass?
|
boost control, data logging, 3 step.
|
it sounds like it has potential because of all of the options, and only for $100...we'll have to see if it catches on...

pro has full throttle launch and shifting, boost cut, and datalogging |
does ectune have 2 step? or is it a full trottle launch crap like crome?
|
Re: (92redhatch)
You d00ds need to get informed. Ecutune came out of the fact that a bunch of guys were developing Crome. At one time Crome was fully functional and completely free. It was basically the software all OBD1 pgmfi developers would use. Then John Cui started to charge for Crome, but the guys developing all these features didn't get paid. Without their features, no one would want Crome but basically John's stance was that the difference between Crome Pro and Free is the datalogging and .exe shit, which they did not do, but he did. End result was a lot of half pissed off developers seeing John make some decent cash on their work. So Calvin and a few other guys decided to make their own editor, include features they had previously developed and were currently developing, and make some money.
Got it? Good. |

Got it? Good.</TD></TR></TABLE> Well listen good most of the features weren't previously developed. I had been using crome for a good amount of years. I had always had my own roms p30/p72 based. Lets be clear and i think people shouldn't spread things around. I had my own roms and used crome as an editor. Until crome couldn't do what i needed. NOTE: I DID NOT RELEASE ANY PRICES YET. i think a basemap is > an fmu and some check valves. nothing compares to an experienced tuner and a well-developed fully functional engine management solution.

Wtf are you talking about? Nobody said anything about a basemap here https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emhammer.gif . They are talking about a tunable rom editor. |
Re: (SOHC_MShue)
I'm very happy to see this software, being exposed.. Calvin has put alot of work into this program And I have personally learned alot from him, especially back when I was developing stuff myself for crome.
His software has some amazing features that no other rom editing software has and will be a very good option for any Honda enthusiast. For correct info look here: http://www.ectune.com |
