Same process they use on Exhausts. RAYS forges the lip to the rim as they do on any other rim. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Yeah I know, since last years TAS. All Im saying is that it wont be on ebay anytime soon, maybe you can find it in Japan, but definitely not here. Sure, we see cheap ass titanium exhausts on ebay, but RIMS, I don't know. I'm all for it, but I doubt it will come true for me in the next years.

umm so what would be the difference of them coating a wheel as opposed to a muffler..

i think its called aurora plating. they plate it while sending like 10,000 volts through it. it doesnt work well on aluminum. it was tried on paintball guns with like 10% success rate. here is a picture of a paintball gun with the plating it went for $5,000
