Maybe your belts?

Theres a good chance it could be your belts but it may also be your altenator. Is it a consistant noise?

Re: whining noise from engine? (integra_baby)
Do you have a air intake? Sometimes they will whine/whistle. Mine will do it at those rpms. If you dont have a air intake check the oem one for any ripes or openings. May not be the problem, but you never know.

Wait, you put your car in park while driving down the freeway? I'll bet that would cause a hell of a noise.

Re: whining noise from engine? (integra_baby)
if anyone was curious... it was just the power steering.

Re: whining noise from engine? (integra_baby)
Make sure you only use Honda approved power steering fluid, or you will be the one whining. Was it just low on fluid?
