Power Lock Buzzing Noise
I have a 1995 Accord EX and all of the sudden my passenger door looks have begun to make a buzzing noise when the auto lock kicks in after ignition or when I manually lock the doors (also when I engage the alarm system). I know there are other Accords out there that have the same problem because I have heard it happen. I am just getting sick of hearing this buzzing noise. Does anyone know anyway to fix this problem?

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (loup05)
Yeah but that was your rear passenger door. I have a 4 door also, but this is happening with my front passenger door and that door is used pretty frequently. I mean I know I can remove it and just pop up the lock when needed, but I'd rather have all of my doors power locks working.

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (95_VTEC)
I was about to disconnect mine a while back then they stopped doing it. As far as fixing the problem I was told that you need to replace the actuator (sp?) which is $100 part.

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (Slunk)
Yeah I read about that actator, but I wasnt sure if it was that because what I read was that on a 1996 Honda Accord, the front driver's side door was making the same sound, but the locks were not locking. So, I didn't know if infact it was the actuator or not. I went to the junkyard around here last night seeing if i could possible get one, but it was too hard to get and I don't know if I was looking in the right spot for it. I guess I'll have to go back because there's a ton of Accords there ranging from 1993-1997. I also saw that the actuator was $100 part and I'd rather not spend $100 on a small part like that and just go to a junkyard and possible find one.

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (mustbeballiin)
Yeah my 97 was making a little different type of noise so we could have different problems. When I would lock my door is would just sound like it just kept trying to lock. Made me a little nervious to walk away.

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (Slunk)
Yeah, I definitely don't want to leave any of my doors unlocked because of the expensive stuff I have inside of the car https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif.
But, I will definitely try the actuator once I can figure out where exactally it is and how to get it off and out from the middle of the door. I wish there were some type of instructions on how to take it out, but I can't seem to find anything. |
Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (mustbeballiin)
Hondadude told someone in another post/thread how to fix those door lock actuators.
I read it not to long ago |
Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (Mr Yamada)
Oh really? Do you happen to have the link to that thread?

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise (NeKe1point0)
Yeah a lot of Accords have this problem from what I have seen and heard. If I can't get a good actuator from the junkyard off an Accord, I'll do what you did, order one off Ebay. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Did you install the actuator yourself? Or did you have someone else, like a mechanic do it? I have no idea how to take it off nor install it and I don't want to spend money just to have that installed when I know I can do it myself with some instructions. I just have no idea where to get instructions on how to take it out and install it on my car. Any suggestions where I can find some instructions or do you have some by any chance? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Re: Power Lock Buzzing Noise
loooks gooood.
i know they're (the actuators) are different for each door, but would the location be relatively the same? the buzzing's come to a point where it startles the baby, can't let that continue on any longer. |
