Supertech SPR-H1002D valve springs with Toda Spec B?
Any experiences using Supertech SPR-H1002D valve springs with Toda Spec B cams in a B18C-R?

Don't have much experience with the 2D kit. The DR is plenty of spring for any cam you can find on the market. If you havn't already purchased the valvesprings, you might as well get the DR since they are the same price.
I don't remember what the seat pressure is of the original SuperTech springs, but we use them exclusively on our builds and havn't had trouble with any SuperTech products. I believe the 2D has a seat pressure of 70lbs at 33mm, which should be good for TODA B's. DR's are 90lbs if memory serves correct. |

I am Canadian but inches is fine! My concern is that the Toda spec b need a softer spring because of the ramp up and down...toda springs have 190lbs at 12.5mm and Supertech 190lbs at 12mm? The seat pressure is 70lbs on the Supertech and Toda? Toda Coil bind is at 12.9mm lift and supertech is something crazy like 19.5mm or so!
I just want reliability cause I will be racing this engine 1hours a week for 4 months! Pat |

We have a ITR motor that we run Toda B's with supertech ValveSprings. I Pretty sure I am running the DR setup but i cant be 100% since its been a while since i put them in and have since bought more for other setups. Either one will work fine but you might as well get the DR set up since its not too much more if anything !

does anyone know the install height of the Supertech 2D springs? I know Toda's are 1.325" and Larry From Endyn Recommends 1.400" install height with the spec b cams?

Martin from Supertech told me that the installed height is 33.50mm/1.319" which is close to Toda's 1.325"...my concern is that Larry from Endyn recommends 1.400" with the Toda spec b and c's cams?

are this valve springs you talking about are they the dual spring or the single?

They are dual...I have had them in for the last 2 weeks and I haven't had any problems so far...Mustang dyno I made 203whp at 8400 with my spec b's

Larry from Endyn doesn't recommend using Toda spec B or spec C cams regardless of valve spring choice....
Any cams that regularly break valvetrain components and timing belts should be avoided... |
