AT trans slipping / Po730 code - wrong gear ratio after gets warmed up
2001 Civic EX with 130,000 miles on it. Fluid flushed once at 75k. Trans slips excessivly and pulls a P0730 code. Fluid is brnt
Any hope ? Thanks in advance P.S. Looks like maybe a trans is in order - if so - DOes anyone have a good line on transmissions. Honda is on back order with no light in sight. I always thought Hondas were bulletproof and have worked on many over the years - never seen a trans go out at 130k - why me ? |
Re: AT trans slipping / Po730 code - wrong gear ratio after gets warmed up (hondarsw)
I have heard so many complaints about the automatic transmission in the '01 civic's its not even funny. Luckily I drive manual. By fluid burnt I assume its black or very dark? I am not a transmission expert but your guess sounds right. You could take it to a transmission repair place, and have them disassemble and reassemble it, but that will cost you loads, sorry. More will chime in don't worry.
PS. Welcome |
the auto trannies in the 7thgen's were one of the crappiest ever made by honda if not THE crappiest
