Is the range on the keyless entry remote that bad for everyone?

I have an 06 and both remotes dont have range of more than 10-15 feet, often times far less. I replaced the battery in one and it did the same thing. Could I have bought a dead battery or does everyones remote entry suck this bad?

uh my ap1 remote works fine at 30 feet. do you have any interference in your car that might be causing this?

30 feet? thats almost double what I can get. It happens everywhere I park so I dont think its interference.

no i don't mean physical interference such as buildings, cars, etc. do you have any electronics in the car that might be worth mentioning that can cause interference?

Mine goes at least 40-50 ft.

The "chin method" directs radio frequencies towards your brain. I recommend the "elbow method".

Wait, wait... Now, I've used the chin method for years, but what the heck is the elbow method? (Or did I completely overlook the joke/sarcasm?)

Put remote to elbow, use arm as extended antenna. I've used light poles, street signs, car antenna, etc. anything large and metal seems to work best.
