Re: Exhausts: RSR Exmag vs Tanabe Super Medallion (cbp_crx)

I have read a lot of good things about Tanabe. I am looking at the Super Medallion for my B16 swap. For my application, N/A tuning a B16A2, I am thinking any exhaust with a high flow cat and 2.5" pipe is going to work nicely. I've heard that if you want to go to forced induction then 3" pipe becomes relevant. As for D series motors I don't know what pipe diameter they call for, that's the first thing I would research.

ooohh i like the twin tips on this one, but only 51mm(~2inches) piping? seems kinda small esp if you want to boost, but good for a stock w/bolt ons d/d i guess.

i asked this in another forum but got no answer, how does the sound on the RSR compare to the Super Medallion?

92civicfreak 11-26-2006 10:01 AM

i've got the rsr, but in black... i love it nice & quiet & has 60mm piping which is 2.362**** inces... so its smaller than 2.5 & biger than 2.25 i like it & its low key & no bling bling... i heard it sounds really nice w/ a b16 though

If you are running N/A and have no plans on going turbo, go with an RS*R. You will like it.
