92 Accord - Shakes idling in gear and/or with AC on

Anyone know why a 1992 Honda Accord would shake while idling in gear, and shake a lot more when idling in gear or neutral with the A/C on?

Thanks

Check your AC/alt belt and make sure it's not too tight. With AC on a car is going to run a little rougher so maybe it's nothing to worry about.

it is not the belt...............chk the motor mounts, and make sure the idle is not too low ,also make sure engine does not have a miss on a cylinder

My car does the exact same thing. Test to see if this happens with other things. Try turning the headlights on and off, rolling the windows down, etc. My theory is your battery may be going bad or maybe the alternator? I have been curious about the same thing. My car is shaking because the rpms get really low (about 500 or maybe a little lower at their lowest point) and then bounce back up slightly.

How many miles are on your car? The most probably causes are clogged egr ports and worn out motor mounts. I don't have the location of the procedure right off hand, but if you do a search for "egr cleaning" "egr port" etc, it will come up with everything you need to know.
