Accord rear lip
I have been looking for my accord rear lip for sometime know and no luck. I tried Honda and it comes out to like 200 for the 3pc. lip, the junk yards have them but want to sell it with the bumper and that ranges anywhere from $180-275. Does anyone have one or know of a place to get them besides stealing one? and is there any drastic modification needed?

Re: Accord rear lip (hitman94)
Eh...I got both rears skirts for $20 each from hondaautomotiveparts.com. I don't see any need to have the middle piece.

Re: Accord rear lip (Hawkze_2.3)
I dont mean to hijack, but do you have any pictures of just the sides on?
hitman, The middle piece is hard to find, but your best bet is to buy the sides from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and get the middle peice from the dealership. I dont have the lip, but I've been having the same problem as you and this looks like the best solution. |

Sure, it's not the best pic, but you get the idea. I modified them quite a bit to get them how I wanted--- http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZkMzF5NTQx.jpg https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
Re: Accord rear lip (Hawkze_2.3)
o/t : why do you have all those holes cut out in your rear bumper? or is it a plate with holes bolted on? ive seen that on 2 other cars.

it reduces drag</TD></TR></TABLE> Ya i believe it it is call a wind/air diffuser, by letting the air trapped in the bumper cover to escape it allows for less drag. |

yes, the front, sides skirts, and rear lips off of 94-95 accords will fit 4th gens with some modification. |
Re: Accord rear lip (esedulerp5tenin)
Thanks I think I might do it I have not see it done...so I will post pictures when I do it.

Re: Accord rear lip (mugenmarauder)

|
Re: Accord rear lip (vietkazie)
Well if you have pictures I would like to see them I have not seen anyone with them.
This will let me know if I am wasting my time trying to get them or not. |
Re: Accord rear lip (mugenmarauder)
try looking through the Prelude Pictures forum, here i'll help you out "https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=622994&page=122" and there's more from other cars on the latest pages

Re: Accord rear lip (vietkazie)
I seen a lot of front lips and rear but no side skirts...so if you know where one is let me know...please
|
I found mine at Ecology, all 3 pieces for less then 20 bucks. I love the way it looks too. hondaautomotiveparts.com has it for less then 50 bucks for sure.

Re: Accord rear lip (mugenmarauder)
the prelude and accord side skirts look identical, it's kinda a waste of money and time to do that
|
Re: Accord rear lip (vietkazie)
I don't think so. Maybe you mean that there is little difference, but I would love to have the accord sides. One thing I really don't like about my lude is the round ass skirts, and lip.
|
Re: Accord rear lip (vietkazie)
The accord sideskirts have some extra flair towards the rear wheels, not very noticable to many, but they aren't identical.

Re: Accord rear lip (MilanoLude)

Re: Accord rear lip (ludaboy93)
why was it not easy to get them on?
|
i wonder how those would look molded on and painted...
|
Re: Accord rear lip (CFran55)
fitting them to look like they came with the car and blend in nicely wasnt so hard but then after you cant screw them in unless you have tiny little hands because it doesnt leave you any space underneath the lip to drill so you have to drill from on top which mean the bumper comes off
|
what is that ugly ass black trim peice going across the middle of your bumper?
oh and this isnt thread #100303 about this damn lip |
