yeah I think that sounds right. It's been a while since I replaced the one on my '88 LX.

Re: ????Torque specs for pressure plate AND flywheel bolts???? (slowrider)
For performance applications we recommend 30 ftlbs on NEW M10.9 grade bolts. I don't trust tightening old bolts that far, but new ones won't twist off until at least 36 ftlbs. Flywheel bolts can go more than stock recommended torque too. If you are just building a stock motor there is no need though.

For those bolts, I always use German torque specs..

also make sure you tighten them in a star pattern.. like you would lug-nuts on your wheels.

I've been using those torque specs and red loctite, no issues yet (and I had to take it all apart after a few thousand miles) allthough I use an impact to take it apart. what kind of pattern do you use for 9 bolts? |
