Flashing key light...car wont start!
 

Okay, well it finally started, but what the hell does that mean? When I put the key in the ignition, that green key light started flashing and my car wouldn't start. My g/f said her car did that one day and she turn the wheel back and forth and it cranked. So i tried this thinking she is a complete moron, and it actually worked. if you have a 00-01 teg the flashing key light is your immobilizer.

so like u couldnt turn the key
or u would turn the key and nothing would happen

I turned the key and it cranked but no start. once I jiggled the steering wheel it worked. Just trying to figure out what happened.

your having problems with the immobolizer ... maybe your key was near a magnet and damaged it ... if it keeps hapening you will have to take it to a dealer

Definitely your immoblizer. Your key has a chip inside of it that is programmed to your ecu. Like one guy said your key may have been too close to a magnet or something.

Well, all I did was walk through food world to pick up a case of corona, and walk out. I cant think of any magents that strong in there.

Not saying 100% it was a magnet! Take your car and key to your Local Honda Dealership, and ask them to reprogram you key.
