How to use inductive timing light?? HELP
Ok guys. trying to do the ignition timing. I bought a tming light, but i dont knwo how to use it. I understand the connecting part, but how do i use it? It doesnt have any knobs to change anything on it. SO do i just point into the whole and connect the lines into the V shaped metal piece in the tranny housing?
Its a basic timing light, just a gun like wiht a trigger. So what do i do guys? |

I have an issue...the car is ideling at about 1k at normal opt temp. I cant get the idel screw to move. It seems to be a bit tight, and i cant get a flat head to stay in the groove. What should i do about that? So i adjusted the ign. timing at 1k rpm. Is that okay? SO i pointed the hun into the lil hole and there was line, then a 15, then a line. So what i did was pput the 15 inbetween the "V". IS that all? Im running a cell light, because i have no 02 sensor hoooked up. I dont have the h22 downpipe. Is it ok to adjust timing with CEL light? And i just hook up a 02 sensor o the plug, just hanging there to turn the cel off? Just temporary till i get the downpipe. Let me know guys.. Thanks for all your help too!! |
