Re: F20 engine or Engine rebuilt (congo)
A new block? One would run you about 2500-3000. Getting it rebuilt might cost less than that. And that would be a bare block.
|
dude u can get a motor from hmotorsonmline.com for like 3800 new usd/jdm i believe i already went through a motor too lol
|
Re: (mrS2K)
how did you go through one motor?
|
Re: (Nishant)
Mine went KaBOOM also.
I ordered a one block from hardtopguy.com .. one block is the head and the block as one piece connected. He had a few left over from some 04's that were involved in a derailed train accident. Might want to give him a shot if you have about $4000 to spend. I like the F22. |

Re: (Slideways2000)
ya but the f22 wont fit in the AP1 ... lol lotta changes must be done to make it fit
|
Re: (congo)
So what all do I have to do to fit an F22 in an AP1? Might have to try it one day.
|
Re: (Slideways2000)
Everything fits exactly from the engine mounts (use the AP1 mounts F20C's on the F22C engine) to plugging in the ecu.
The only thing is the fuel line is different but not hard to just un bolt and replace with the F22C's or modify the F20's fuel line to fit. The added .2 liters makes my commute in the city a lot more enjoyable. Modified by EGB18hatch at 2:54 AM 11/8/2005 |
Re: (EGB18hatch)
Wow would you look at that? Hey man, the AP2 tranny mount won't fit on the AP1 either. And you have to use the AP1's propelller shaft bolts, or the AP2 propeller shaft. Close, grasshopper, very close.

Re: (Slideways2000)
I would like to know how you guys are making your engines go "KABOOM"
The only cases I have heard are bad downshifts, high boost, or NOS. There are the occasional it just stopped working, but rare |
Re: (Nishant)
Mine goes KABOOM out the tailpipe when I start it up. I'm waiting for a small animal to find shelter in there one day, then launch his ass! BWAHAHHAHAHA.

Re: (Slideways2000)
So your car farts every morning huh? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

Re: (Nishant)
With her 3" cannon, she can flatulate all she wants.

3" cannon = fart can https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
Re: (Nishant)
What's funny is, that's exactly what I call it. A fart can.

Mine bolted straight up on Saturday. Considering I used the mounts from my AP1 engine on the F22. This was 04 F22C into 02 AP. Grasshopper? I don't think so my friend. |
